High Country Prosecco and Ballerina Canopy Durif win Gold

The national judging panel at the 130th Rutherglen Wine Show were very impressed with two of our most popular wines, giving both the top award for their class.

The wines, our High Country NV Prosecco and Ballerina Canopy 2016 Durif, won the 'Top Gold' for each of their respective categories.

Our High Country NV Prosecco, which is produced from grapes grown in the King Valley, is dry and airy, and is a perfect refreshment during the warmer months. Made in the traditional Charmat style, this zesty sparkling wine is designed to be enjoyed young.

Our Ballerina Canopy 2016 Durif is a refined, well-balanced red that doesn't seek to overpower you. This popular wine is carefully crafted from grapes grown here at the winery, with an intensive vine thinning process ensuring only the best grapes are harvested.

It's an elegant wine - fresh and with finer tannins - that reflects the cooler climate grapes it's made from.

This same wine was awarded 93 points (Silver) in the 2019 Halliday Wine Companion.

These wines are available to purchase now, both online and at our Cellar Door, where they are also available to taste.
