Easter may be over... but can you ever have too much chocolate??
Our Restaurant and Cellar Door Manager Anissa Griffiths has generously shared this deliciously decadent chocolate and walnut brownie recipe.
200g dark chocolate chopped
250g butter chopped
1 3/4 cups brown sugar
1/3 cup cocoa powder sifted
1 1/4 cups plain flour sifted
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
100g walnut pieces, roasted (we use Gapsted walnuts)
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
Place the chocolate & butter in a saucepan over low heat & stir until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
Place the sugar, eggs, cocoa, flour & baking powder in a bowl. Add the chocolate mixture & mix until combined.
Pour the mixture into a 20cm slice tin lined with non stick baking paper.
Sprinkle walnut pieces over the top.
Bake for 50 minutes or until set. Cool slightly in tin. Cut into slices.
Serve warm or cold.
