High Country 2017 Shiraz

High Country 2017 Shiraz - Gapsted Wines "Deep, dark red/purple colour, with a strong charred-oak aroma. The palate is firm and drying, with a fair degree of chewiness. There is a deep plummy fruit core to the wine, liberal acidity, and it's full-bodied and firm in the mouth. It needs food. Good value." Rated: 89 points

Huon Hooke, The Real Review

"This one’s on the mark. It’s not big or heavy but it’s well ripened and (highly) drinkable. This is a good buying/drinking option for now-ish. Sweet red/black cherries, savoury spice notes, an edge of toffee apple and a clean, flowing, chewy-in-a-good-way finish. Clovey aftertaste. Medium weight at most but positives all the way through." Rated: 90 points

Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

High Country 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon

"This version is clean, well-fruited, fresh and highly drinkable. Tick, tick and tick. It’s a neat wine. Mid-weight, fleshed with fruit, tannic-enough, slightly dusty, and more-ish. There’s a lick of sweet coffee-like flavour and it works a treat in context. Nice one."

Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

Tobacco Road 2017 Sangiovese Barbera

Tobacco Road 2017 Sangiovese Barbera - Gapsted Wines"As a Euro-style quaffer you couldn't really ask for more - it's herbal life suits the bright and fresh fruit bite in a sour cherry and crunchy plum profile of flavours, with just enough old-oak impact for further sweetly spicy interest as you sip."

Tony Love, published in the Herald Sun (31 July, 2018)

Ballerina Canopy 2017 Chardonnay

“Light to mid-yellow colour with a nutty, smoky, faintly sulfidey bouquet: quite complex. The palate is soft and rounded, smooth and moderate in acidity.”

Huon Hooke, The Real Review

Limited Release 2017 Sparkling Shiraz Rose

Limited Release 2017 Sparkling Shiraz Rose - Gapsted Wines“Full, youthful pink colour with purple tints, the aroma clean and fragrant, charmingly strawberry-ish and brilliantly grapy. The wine is intense and fruity in the mouth, light and brightly youthful, with a short but clean finish which is soft and pleasant. There is an obvious dab of sweetness on the mid-palate but it finishes with balance.”

Huon Hooke, The Real Review

"This wine takes the Aussie phenomenon of sparkling Shiraz and gives it the trend treatment to become a smart, mid pink-coloured Rose exuding a nose and palate of crunchy strawberry aromatics, even a little musk, perhaps a quarter of red apple, all with fine, lively bubbles."

Tony Love, Herald Sun (14 February, 2018)

High Country 2017 Tempranillo

"It’s smashed mulberry and crimson plum in the juicy fruit department, a dash of aromatic florals and herbs with crushed coriander seed adding lift, milk chocolate and vanilla balancing smoothness. It’s the mouth feel that then sticks, bright and spicy. Delish."

Tony Love, Adelaide Now
