“Briar and blackberries, with some cinnamon characters on the nose. The palate has length and drive right into a good long finish. Bright red and black berries, with a foil of crushed soft herbs and line of iodine giving interest. A lot of wine for this price.” - Stuart Knox, The Real Review
"These Tobacco Road wines are jolly good value. And the come across as being pretty honest wines too. Cherry, hazelnut, mint, a good amount of flavour, clean acidity, light grip from tannin, and a juicy poached strawberry aftertaste" - Garry Walsh, The Wine Front
VINEYARD REGION: King Valley
THE WINE: This wine displays a brilliant ruby red colour. The nose shows lifted black cherry and red berry aromas. These aromas are reflected in the palate with cherry and strawberry flavours balanced by some earthy notes. Partial barrel fermentation in French oak complements these distinctive fruit flavours. The tannins are soft and fine grained, resulting in a wine which is ideal for immediate consumption or short to medium-term ageing.
FOOD MATCHES: A great match with roast duck, or try with Thai chicken salad.
