Wine sales are only open to Australian residents who are over 18 years old.
Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 (Vic) it is an offence: For a licensee to sell liquor to under 18s (Penalty exceeds $19,000); For a person to supply liquor to under 18s (Penalty exceeds $19,000); For a person under the age of 18 years to purchase, receive, possess or consume liquor (Penalty exceeds $800).
In purchasing wine online from Gapsted Wines you agree that you are an Australian resident of legal drinking age.

Billing Terms and Conditions
All items must be paid for via our secure payment gateway, or by telephone using a valid credit card.
Payment is required at the time of purchase prior to despatch.
Your order will usually be despatched within two working days (excludes Saturdays, Sundays and Australian Public Holidays).
Refund and Returns Policy
We do not refund wines based on taste and/or palate preference, so please choose your wines carefully before ordering.
If you receive wine that’s been damaged in transit, that’s not consistent with what you ordered, or that’s not of adequate quality, please contact us first before doing anything else. You can email us at email@example.com, or call us on 03 5751 9100.
When you contact us, please include the following information:
- Your name and contact details
- The invoice number and invoice date
- Description of product to be returned
- The reason for proposed return
We’ll respond within two working days as to how you should proceed.
If the wine you’ve received is damaged, or you’ve received the wrong product, you’re entitled to a replacement (if the product is available), or an alternative product of equal value of your choice, or a full refund.
If you’re not satisfied with the quality of the wine we’ve sent, you can return the product for a full refund under the following conditions:
- The wine bottle(s) is returned within seven days of opening the product that we’ve supplied. Please note that older wines that have been cellared may show signs of natural deterioration – these are not considered defective wines. As such, wines greater than 24 months of age from their packaged date will not be accepted for refund or replacement.
- That the unopened goods you return are in original condition (please ensure the wine is packed to avoid breakage).
Unfortunately, we cannot amend an order after it has been despatched.

We will incur the reasonable cost of returning goods that are defective or do not meet the product description. All other returns are at your expense.
For future orders, these terms and conditions may be different and so we recommend you read these terms carefully each time you agree to them during the ordering process. We will not change any terms and conditions for an existing order that has been accepted by us; the terms and conditions that will apply to the order are the terms and conditions that applied at the time you placed the order.
