Ballerina Canopy 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon - Gapsted Wines

MARCH 2017 TASTING

Deep rich red colour. Huge volumes of sweet and complex berry fruit seamlessly integrated with French oak and bottle age. An effortless wine to drink that fills the mouth with cigar box, blackberry, cedary oak and long integrated tannins. Very much still in its youth, this will give so so much more with further ageing. This is a very special wine that you can confidently pull out with your finest meals.

TASTING NOTES AT TIME OF BOTTLING

THE WINE: This wine displays a deep, black red colour. The nose shows dark, ripe, rich and complex Brambleberry and forest floor aromas with hints of spicy cinnamon, chocolate, dusty oak and earthy beetroot. These aromas lead to a full-flavoured palate brimming with cassis and blackcurrant fruit, leading to a velvety mocha finish. This wine fills the whole mouth with fruit weight and finishes with well-rounded tannins.

FOOD MATCHES: Excellent with rosemary and thyme roasted lamb with wilted spinach.
