VINEYARD REGION: King Valley
THE WINE: This wine displays a dark, almost black red colour. The nose shows rich and complex aromas of brambleberry and earthy forest floor with hints of spicy cinnamon, chocolate and oak. These aromas lead to a rich, full flavoured palate of cassis and blackcurrant fruit. After 24 months ageing in oak barrels, the finish has plenty of fruit weight and well-rounded tannins.
FOOD MATCHES: Excellent with rosemary and thyme roasted lamb with wilted spinach.
PEAK DRINKING: Now-2029
