THE WINE: This wine shows the typical deep red garnet hues of youth. The nose displays distinctive and intense plum and dark cherry aromas, interwoven with hints of white pepper. These aromas follow through to a rich and concentrated palate of plummy fruit flavours. The wine was matured for 18 months in American oak barrels, and has the tannin and fruit structure to age gracefully in bottle for up to eight years from vintage.
FOOD MATCHES: Oven-baked eggplant stuffed with tomato, parsley and fried onion also excellent with roasted venison, with beetroot and balsamic glaze.
PEAK DRINKING: Now-2023
