"Deep, dark red/purple colour, with a strong charred-oak aroma. The palate is firm and drying, with a fair degree of chewiness. There is a deep plummy fruit core to the wine, liberal acidity, and it's full-bodied and firm in the mouth. It needs food. Good value."
Huon Hooke, The Real Review
"This one’s on the mark. It’s not big or heavy but it’s well ripened and (highly) drinkable. This is a good buying/drinking option for now-ish. Sweet red/black cherries, savoury spice notes, an edge of toffee apple and a clean, flowing, chewy-in-a-good-way finish. Clovey aftertaste. Medium weight at most but positives all the way through."
Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
VINEYARD REGION: King Valley
THE WINE: This wine displays a deep inky purply colour. This wine shows aromas of rich dark berry fruit with a hint of pepper. These aromas lead to a palate of concentrated dark plum and blackberry fruits, complemented by spicy pepper and warm earthy notes. This wine shows great persistence and succulent velvet tannins.
PEAK DRINKING: Now-2023
FOOD MATCHES: The perfect match to grilled steak or a slow cooked casserole.
WINE ANALYSIS: Alc/Vol 14.0% - PH 3.55 - TA 6.5
