"Sour-sweet kind of feel here, nice though. Has a creaminess to texture but a core of bristling acidity. Sour cherry really nice flavour over rose water and some blood orange. Light sage character resonates. I like a lot going on here, feels like a good and interesting ‘pizza night wine’." 90 Points, The Wine Front
BRONZE - 2020 Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show
VINEYARD REGION: King Valley
THE WINE: The blend of these two traditional Italian varieties works beautifully, highlighting the best characters of each variety. This wine displays a deep garnet colour. The nose shows aromas of ripe spicy plum, sour cherry and violets. These aromas lead to a palate which has rich fruit flavours, balanced by some savoury notes and complemented by toasty oak. A medium-bodied wine with fine-grained tannins. Ideal for immediate consumption or short-term cellaring.
FOOD MATCHES: Enjoy with hearty Italian dishes, such as Osso Bucco or simply fresh crusty bread with your favourite Italian cheese.
